I havent read what underneath the thread title because i'm only on chapter 6, dont want to spoil it for myself. i havent played Castlvania before, but imo this is a very good game. i cant comment really until i've finished, but so far i think the level design excellent, the pacing is excellent.
i was concerned that the levels would be too short or too long, but they're just right. the story is good so far. the voice acting is excellent, Patrick Stuart and Rob Carlyle bring a lot to script. i love how you find treasures in dead bodies, very nice touch.
however i agree with KillerMan, i dont think making the dodge button and block the same was a good idea, sometimes you dodge when you want to block. other than that the comat is good, but i think GOW3 battle system is a bit better, but its definitly one of my faviourite games of the year and hopefully the 2nd half dosent dissapoint!
