Yes no its Microsoft's fault that is why Ensemble was itching to leave... Um oh wait no they weren't. Rare seems to love MS, Epic can't seem to get enough of MS. The Crysis guys are doing an exclusive with MS, Bungie by all reports has a fantastic relationship with MS. I am failing to see how you can pigeonhole Microsoft to be this way. Elaborate please :)

Oh yeah my bad, forgot about forum mentality sometimes. Rare imo is not weaker, they just apparently are not allowed to work on some of their older franchises, ie Donkey Kong (i know they didnt create it but they got it mainstream imo) Goldeneye (this one i dont get) but they still have Banjo and they are experimenting more than anything with him. I like the results so far as long as they dont backtrack they are doing the right thing.
