Overall it's obviously the Wii, and I don't mean because of it's sales.
If you are talking video game media i'd still have to say the X360 even if I would rather it didn't.... your second example seems the wrong way around to me, perhaps yes the new IP PS3 game is better reviewed, but the new Halo or Mario game is the one that gets talked about more, it gets hyped before it releases more than a new IP because people have played games they liked before, and then after release it sells more than the new IP, thus gets talked about more by gamers, whether that be good or bad talk (Halo sux!!1!, Sunshine >>> Galaxy etc)
