If you are talking about hardware specs, just go PC, maxed out DA and ME2 with 3D glasses on a Sony Bravia 3DTV is niche but nice as hell, or you can just boot up the best version of TLR too. If you are talking about a game design perspective, Xenoblade did what White Knight Chronicles couldn't do, which is not sucking big donkey balls. The Last Story is about to do what FF13 couldn't do, which is a finished, high quality game with plenty of really new mechanics that you wouldn't have seen on a JRPG before.
