Gaming - Having an affair - View Post

Hmmm, I used to be a Nintendo-fanboy back in the sixth gen, but I've turned neutral now.
Previous generation there weren't many games I was tempted to buy another console for, but I think I can come up with a few.

Xbox: Conker's Live & Reloaded, Grabbed by the Ghoulies (was it really so bad?); big Rare fan as you can see.

PS2: ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Devil May Cry and the Jak's and Ratchet's; I was impressed by the art of Team ICO and by some videos of DMC. As I have always loved platformers, I was charmed by Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter.

This generation, I started with Wii, but recentely I got a 360, because it got more and more interesting for me. First with the anouncement of Banjo-Kazooie, then with Bioshock, because it had such good reviews, and then with The Orange Box because of my feelings for the Half-Life franchise.

I also want to buy a PS3, but I can't find enough reasons to get one. Most of the games I liked on the system were coming to 360 as well. But I am impressed about Sony's first/second-party line-up. With games as Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank Future, Warhawk, Uncharted, Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet, I'm getting more and more interested.
And third-party killer-apps such as MGS4 and FFXIII are also interesting, but those games come from series I find too traditional(FF) and which I haven't tried yet because I don't like the genre (MGS). But once I have a PS3, I can at least try them.

And the handhelds? I'm very happy with my DS. I really don't think I'll buy a PSP anytime soon. I love the technology, I love the media-functions, but I don't love the library. Most games are either racing games, RPG's and free-roaming games, which are three genres I don't like very much. The only things I can come up with that I want are Killzone Liberations and God of War. If they bring a Team ICO game to the machine or even a Half-Life(Gordon on the road! W00t!), I might just consider buying one.
