Halo: CE is my favorite Halo game. It was amazing.

Watching the old trailers now.. Maaaaan that shit was soooo cheesy it's unbelievably, especially the Halo 2 one "Saving humanity from extinction... In Progress" I mean c'mon loool. But great games nevertheless, I was disappointed with the third though, comparangly the trailers still do look great for it :p

Yeah, 3 had a disappointing campaign.

I'll never forget the second level, beach level, or the escape in the end for Combat Evolved. Truly great moments. With 2, I'd say the Heretic level, taking down one of the prophets, and when all hell breaks loose between the Brutes and Elites.

Yeah the first one was great, I think it was the first game that used the health regenerated system, so I was like. Wiiiiinn. And the levels you mentioned I do remind distinctly as the main aspects of the game, the beach landing was akin to a sci fi landing of Medal of Honor Allied Assault opening mission :p. And yeah the final escape mission was pretty awesome, I think I was too young(and horny) to follow the story at the time, but now I look back, they must have vested sooo much time creating the Halo universe in so much detail, I truly began to appreciate the Halo Story after finishing Halo Wars, and a friend gave me Halo Encyclopedia for Christmas(Win).

On 2nd I don't remember much except for that burning library mission where you had to retrieve the key(Not sure if that's 2 or 3 though, haven't played both in a while). The arbiter missions were pretty interesting too, like the first mission where you had to eliminate the heretic(I read into this on encyclopedia :D)
