What is the movie format (or is there an error?) for my ipod touch 4g?

ok, so i got an itouch 4g, but the format mp4 isn't working, i downloaded an mp4 video from youtube using atube catcher, but the video won't load, what's wrong?

also, could it be the fact I downloaded it at 1080p?
