Contrats on the new Wii! It's certainly the right console to own if platformers are your thing. RPGs.. not so much. Though the good news is there looks to be some quality RPGs coming in the future like Xenoblade, Tales of Graces, DQX, The Last Story, etc..
But anyway, I'd reccomend Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, NSMB Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey, Super Paper Mario, Monster Hunter Tri, Zelda TP, Little King's Story, Muramasa.
Haven't played but I hear are very good: Sonic Colors, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Fragile, A Boy and his Blob, Rune Factory: Frontier, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World.
