So, it seems a lot of people are expecting over 1 million for the Last Story. I hope it does it. And a couple people think it might pass the 1.8 million ffxiii numbers. I had no idea this thingg was so big.

That's because it really isn't...
It reminds be a bit of Killzone 2.

At best it looks like a Final Fantasy knock off, from the name, to the posters, the music, it's a Final Fantasy game.
|
It will be better than any Final Fantasy since IX because It should at the least be good, not mediocre.

Because of what ?

Hironobu Sakaguchi was responsible mainly for the gem FF games, FFIV-FFIX. He is behind The Last Story and his design philosophy is similar to when he made FFI and FFVII. If you saw all the Iwata Ask episodes you'll see the way the game was developed and how much promise it has.

My confidence towards this game's success (possibly) in the West is that it has a real-time action combat system that vaguely reminds me of Gears (to a point, anyway), and the graphical style is one that the West should be more receptive to than say, a Tales game or something like Blue Dragon or Star Ocean

O.O

If you look at shots of it, its a kinda tactical, sorta squad-based, real-time combat with the way the camera works, it looks closer to a medieval Gears or Resident Evil Mercenaries, or even an Assassin's Creed, than your stereotypical JRPG
