I do not understand why you feel so emotional LordTheNightKnight, in the end when hi def players hit the mainstream pricepoint it will become mainstream just as DVD did before it. I say this because DVDs don't look pretty on hidef tvs and when most people end up buying hi def Televisions they will want to get themselves something that looks good on those televisions.
So let us let things play themselves out. I for one am happy that this could end the format war quickly because it will stop consumer confusion and accelerate the adoption of hidef media.
