The six day war of 67 certainly seemed an aggressive, irredentist Israeli plot to illegally seize the Sinai and the West Bank (one of which they have neither released nor integrated, keeping them in an illegal and international condemned state of Apartheid)

the six day war which has left the area in a mess that will never be recovered was started by Israel with the US giving them the OK before they attacked.  Egypt had intelligence from the soviets that they would be attacked by Israel(it was fake actually but ended up happening anyway), but they made a pact with the soviets that they would NOT attack first so as to be seen as the aggressors.  Israel started it, and they were rewarded by the US for it by doing a cease fire without returning the land they took.
