If you won't let your kids have a 360 or PS3 because of the violent games they could play why would you let them have a Wii when they could play Manhunt or Madworld?  Sure violent games are more prevalent on PS3/360 but there are games without violence just as there are games with violence on the Wii.  If you don't think you could keep your kids from playing the violent games on 360/PS3 what's to stop them playing the violent games on the Wii?

The main onus against PS3/360 in this case is that if you ask a given PS3/360 owner what makes owning the console worthwhile, they're going to name stuff like Gears, Killzone, Halo, Uncharted, etc. The top-tier HD games that are family appropriate, outside Kinect and Move stuff, is limited

Do you even own an HD system? Lets see there is flower, braid, castle crashers, soul calibur 4, marvel vs capcom 2, little big planet. motorstorm, motorstorm paciific rift, forza 3, GT5, mod nation racers, the sly collection, banjoo and kazooie nuts and bolts just to name a few. Some of these games have fighting, yet they have no blood and are rated teen or below. And many more soon to come out.

Never owned non-Nintendo and never will, but it's easy enough to see. I'm not saying those games are insignificant, but the games that really have people drooling over the HD systems are *usually* M-rated and violent. It goes with Nintendo as well, that even though there are violent games worth mentioning, it's not the root of the system's appeal, and generally not the kind of stuff system owners are clamoring for

Does that really matter when the systems all offer experiences for people of all ages? I would agree with you, to state things I read a couple years back in game informer ( which is not fact but relivant) shows the average age of a Wii owner as 16, a 360 owner as 19 - 22 and the ps3 owner as 22-26. I say this because you want to claim the Wii is the most family friendly system well I certainly agree. I just think that there is little wonder that men between the ages of 18 and 35 prefer the violent videogames MS and Sony have to offer. They still have many games rated E and and child's games. but to claim all they have to offer is game for adults is ludicrous.
