In any Mario game, I am murdering millions of henchmen who are being aggressively controlled by a tyrannical physcopathic monster who enjoys kidnapping young women and attempting to force them into marriage. Mario games are far to violent and sadistic and I will not allow my children to take joy in the murder of brainwashed turtles or give them the chance to view the tyrannical behaviour and shotgun weddings of Bowsers day to day lifestyle.
With the short amount of time that I've spent with a number of Pokemon games, I can confidently say that I am disgusted with how Nintendo has put educational tools of animal cruelty, child misbehaviour and atheist convertism into games that are primarily marketed to children. The promotion of evolutionary principles, the occult (Gengar, Haunter, hypnotism, mind reading and random magical occurrences) and extreme animal violence are off putting and it also encourages children to travel alone in a dangerous world filled with evil organisations and dangerous creatures.I do not want them to throw the family cats into battle with each other, I do not want them follow false ideologies (evolution/wicka), I do not want them to throw themselves into danger at such a young age and I do not want them to treat animals as possesions. I do not want my children to play Pokemon.
Kirby games glorify cannibalism, cross dressing and furry behaviour. I do not want any of this negative qualities put towards my children and that can only be achieved my avoiding Kirby games. I have no desire of letting my children watch a male blob (who is pink) dress up as a princess or a gorilla to satisfy his sexual fetishes. I also do not want cannibalism brought into my home and Nintendo's openness with Kirby consuming the flesh of his species is pretty disturbing.
Nintendo games are far to violent for my children and the ideologies they put into their games are ones that I cannot allow my children to view, hear or play. I have been disgusted with their output as of lately and so I will use other manufacturers as a source for my children's gaming needs. Medal of Honour takes a realistic approach to the hard fought war that our soldiers fight for ever day and it condemns violence and only shows the sacrifices that have to be made to help mankind. Little Big Planet takes a colourful approach to creation and it also invokes imagination, hard work and patience over unneeded violence and hostility. Flower encourages the fight for freedom and promotes humbleness and a wider scope of a world view.
I will be purchasing my children's games from other publishers from now on. Most of them do not follow pot dream concepts.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
