Just like GTA IV all it had going for it were high production values, but overall the gameplay was poor and clunky, even walking was retarded, and the less said about horse riding play the better. I got over 600G's for it and completed the game, so i am not making this judgement based on playing the game for only a couple of hours or so. Sorry, but i don't even consider it to be best western game out there either. I would give that award to GUN on xbox/ps2. Now THATS a fun game to play.

The horses were animated well, but yes try anything beyond following the road and ugh the frustration. Shooting from the horse always ends up in turning around somehow. Walking through a gate on a horse is just as bad as trying to walk through a door. Sliding off a cliff when a boar comes charging at you wtf. Plain running off a cliff if you just miss the bridge. It's like you're riding a deaf blind horse, but then it suddenly jumps over the fence you're riding next to.
At least it had the decency to break my fall of a cliff a couple of times. Although after a wolf pushed my horse off a cliff it left me stranded on a rock with nowehere to go then into the instant death water.
Great times.
