Gaming - cpu fan when gaming - View Post

yeah...thranx most likely has the right idea.

I suggest investing in an aftermarket heatsink as well. I have an AMD Phenom II X4 940, which runs at 3.0 ghz stock. With the stock heatsink and fan, it was touching 60 degrees when gaming. I got one of those Antec heatsinks for it and since have overclocked it to 3.6 ghz...with temps running in 50-55 range most of the time.
