I did not make the claim that bush will declare himself dictator, however he did say in 1998 that a dictatorship would be "a heck of a lot easier" for him. I don't think he will declare himself dictator, but cannot fault people too much for thinking he will. Yes, huckabee is a right-wing nut. This is a man clearly out of touch with reality. He fired a gun over reporters heads, proposes a national sales tax while offering loopholes at the same time, thinks wives should "graciously submit to their husbands," pardons dangerous criminals because he thinks they've become born again and lied about having a theological degree. That is what I would call a right-wing nut. Of course, I haven't forgotten your racist, homophobic meltdown. It was only a few months ago.

The bolded comments have nothing to do with being conservative. THe "graciously submit to your husbands" thing is a Baptist thing, and often misunderstood by nonBaptists.
As for Bush and the "dictator" comments, you need to check the context. It is a point that any leader in his position would concede - that things are EASIER for a dictator, not that the country would be better off having a dictator. The only reason people believe that this statement is part of some master plan is because of those who hate Bush so much that they are looking for any opportunity to reinforce their Hitlereque image of him. Given how quickly such an idea collapses under even minute scrutiny, they can absolutely be faulted for holding those beliefs (note I say this not as a defense of Bush but a defense of reason - it is as absurd an overreach by critics as the ones who want to paint the Clintons as murdering criminal masterminds).
