I would say to wait 6 months to 1 year to see if the potential of Kinect pans out. Kinect has 2-3 decently fun games right now-- but Kinect has still not lived up to anywhere near its promised potential.
Right now you are riding on a wave of hype. Let this wave of hype die down a little and then see if there is still anything of substance left to ride on.
Kinect has potential but it will never have a Wii-like library of software because it doesn't have Nintendo publishing games. My biggest concern is the games. Big 3rd party developers are still scared to publish big-budget games on Kinect (much like the Wii, but worse) because the user-base is so small. Very few major 3rd party publishers even want to make Xbox exclusives right now, just look at whats happened recently to former 360 exclusives like ME2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Bioshock. Right now it appears that Kinect features will be implemented in many xbox games that are not Kinect exclusive. Meanwhile a slew of casual Wii-like ports and mid-level budget games will be implemented.
Most anticipated games of 2011:
Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith
Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D
