So I have a 360 slim 4gb and it worked fine for the first few months. I wanted a 250gb hdd add-on though so I bought one from e-bay from a seller with fantastic ratings. The HDD has the Microsoft logo and looks completely legit and it seems to work. The only problem is that ever since I got the HDD, I`ve been getting the open tray error (which is when you pop your disc in and instead of letting you play the game, the dashboard displays the message 'open tray'). Here's the catch though: I get this error even if I take my HDD out so I'm confused whether or not it's a coincidence that this problem happened around the time I got my HDD or whether my HDD caused it.

My question to you guys is this: Should I return the HDD or should I keep it (since it seems to be working fine) and send my 360 in for repair by using my 3 year warranty from Best Buy?
