After giving the Wii a chance, I just don't like Nintendo's games much anymore so I would stick to the two companies that have the first and and third party games I love.

This is exactly how I feel. I love Super Mario, and Mario 64. Donkey Kong Country 1 - 3, and Donkey Kong 64 have seen more play time than any other franchise in gaming from yours truly. The list goes on, and on, but somewhere around 1999 to 2001 Nintendo just fell apart, and I can not get exited about there games anymore. I keep looking for the successor to the two franchises above, but they never live up to those games. Mario Sunshine failed to capture me, Super Mario Galaxy and SMG2 were better, but a far cry from the greatness of M64. DKCR is not feeling so hot so far either.

Yeah, I loved Nintendo from the NES, SNES to the N64. I love the N64 and it is my 3rd favorite console of all time after PS3 and the PS2. I also loved all those games you mentioned and Zelda ,which Link to the Past still remains in my top ten games of all time.

The problem with me for the Wii and Nintendos general direction is thee games I wanted to play for the system all fault to much like their old games. Mario Kart was great, but it didn't have lasting appeal. Zelda was fun, but was really annoying when you didn't know where to go next and you had to start at the begining of a dungeon if you died. New Super Mario brothers wii was fun for about 5 hours than it got stale and the coop was so horrible because every time your friend jumped on your head you would be knocked down into a pit of lava. And the last game I tried Mario party was the worst mario party I had played out of most of the one's I had.

Anyways, my main point is I tried the main franchises I used to love and they no longer appealed to me. I gave up on Nintendo after the 64 because I liked the different style sony brought to the gaming industry. Now, I give up on Nintendo again because they have not changed. To much Mario, games lack much of a storyline, and they refuse to make mature games.

But yeah its cool a lot have people gave up on Nintendo, but they brought many new players to the industry so obviously more people have bought into Nintendo's concepts since the gamecube than they have given up on Nintendo.
