That is really presumptive. It could happen, but don't pretend this is anything other than a guess right now. We don't know what consumers are going to do.

Indeed, my use of the word "drastically" is a bit of an exagerration. Things will slow, and what I said will happen over time (imo), however.

Once Warner's titles begin to go out of stock, HD DVD's sales will fall far behind Blu-Ray's, simply because of lack of content, let alone a smaller install base. Three out of the four top sellers on HD DVD in 2007 were Warner titles: 300, Planet Earth, and Batman Begins. What happens when titles like those and Harry Potter disappear? And new titles like the Dark Knight are released exclusively on Blu-Ray? Or the Lord of the Rings? HD DVD cannot survive on just Universal and Paramount, especially since Spielberg's titles are specifically excluded from all exclusivity deals, including Indiana Jones, ET, Jurassic Park, etc.

Oh, being out of sotck would of course do that. It would have helped to put that in there.
