They aren't really happy that blu-ray won anything. They are more happy HD-DVD lost something, and happy to gloat. I doubt that many even care about blu-ray in the first place if those didn't come with it.
Some are happy for blu-ray, but there are quite a few who clearly wouldn't give it the time of day if there wasn't a format war.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
