they are going to have to DOUBLE the amount of cars in the race to match gt5 (forza = 8, gt5 = 16).....aka double the amount of polygons/physics/computations/AI......then up it to 1080p......all while keeping 60 frames per second....

By the way.. peple are confused when microsoft says most realistic... they say that referring to the fact that you use kinect to feel like your really driving lollll...

Um....isn't Xbox360 more powerful than the PS3 in the first place?  I thought it was proven by this independent study done by IGN!!!

well i remember research along those lines, but the end result was given to PS3. there was somthings that were more powerful on 360 then PS3 like the graphics chip/card.

I honestly think they're both comparable.  It's like comparing a PS2 with a NGC very close indeed.

Actually in overall performance, the Gamecube mopped the floor with the PS2. In raw power, the PS3 IS more powerful than the Xbox 360, by a lot, but it's weaknesses keep the 360 much closer in overall performance, making the overall differences smaller than the Gamecube and PS2s and relatively down to spec usage when judging software.

may i add that the ps3 doesnt have the power it was originally planned to have. when sony was forced to launched it in 2006 they had to scrap the initial plans, hence making it less powerful. so i expect us to be blown away next gen and all for a small price. that is if sony dont over do it.

Yeah, but originally planned doesn't count.  It's like saying I originally planned to be a doctor but became a sonographer instead.  Anyways, there is just wayyyy too many articles stating which of the 2 HD consoles is more powerful to make a solid judgement.  Lets just say X360 is a Ferrari, the PS3 is a Lambo, and the Wii is a WRX (a turbocharged version of the plain Impreza) and it really depends on the driver (software developer) what performance they get out of the car.  Honestly, I have not seen anything (including GoW:III which I think is overrated) on the PS3 that surpasses/blows away games on the X360...so yes I refuse to drink the KoolAide yet thank you!

all im saying the ps3-ps4 leap will be big and maybe not that expensive.
