PS3 is also doing this, which is good! The 360 is unleashing it's titles to fast! bioshock and mass effect could have waited till this year so hype could build. microsoft wanted to have such a big lineup in 2007 they rushed imo!

My thoughts are that publishers and developers are just scrambling to get as many games out on Wii as possible, a fast as possible, regardless of quality, because frankly, they sell. They're not doing it to fill a void or anything. :p They are not cooperating on some higher, elaborate plan to make the Wii's lineup of games as streamlined and diverse as possible. :p Haha. Sure, they do plan when to get their games out, of course, but it's not like developers are now all of a sudden like 'Oh wait, they are really great games coming out then and then, let's release crap now!' :p
And, erm, yeah. I do suppose it would have been a grand idea for Microsoft to not have released Mass Effect and Bioschock last year. Come to think of it, I really wish Nintendo delay SSB Brawl 'till 2009, and Mario Kart too. And they definitely shouldn't release a Pikmin, Animal Crossing, F-Zero or Starfox 'till 2010 or 2011. And here's hoping MGS4, DMC4 and GTA4 won't be released 'till 2012. That would be so smart and economically beneficial!
