I don't understand, so the solder is the problem, because the heat causes it to melt, nothing wrong with the cell and RSX?? what if I wipe them clean and re do the soldering with new solder??

anyone??

Well I'd like to help you but I don't even know what's a solder LOL

lmaoo. this post is icing on the cake of your awesome story boutros. congrats on the fix!! you give me the strength to attempt fixing mine when the time comes (note how i say when, and not if lol)

but seriously though, you should back up all your files and make some money back on being able to trade it in. You're being irresponsible if you're gonna keep letting it die and keep fixing it. its like you're torturing a fly by slowly pulling off its limbs and wings. but letting it live till eventually you got nuttin left to pluck off except the head. i pity your ps3 from here on out lol.

But it's much more responsible to sell a product to someone that you know will break?  Something they can't even get repaired by Sony officially any more?  Sounds to me like you've confused "responsible" with "douche bag."  I for one applaud him for not ripping someone else off, even if that's not his motivation.

You do not have the right to never be offended.
