Temporary fix. Give it 3 months max if its a 60GB. To fix your PS3 from ever getting YLOD for a looong time you gotta re-ball it. Think thats what Sony do.

The solder wire (or whatever) that melted before to give you YLOD will melt again as you play more and more games.

Boutros, I'm speaking from experience. I did pretty much the same thing, only to get it to break again and again...Now I'm stuck with no PS3 -_-

Hopefully I'm getting one next year with the help of some kind members @ VGC. 

So my advice is to trade that sucker in for a Slim.
