She won my heart.  That must count for something.

A restraining order?

I don't think God of War deserves any GOTY awards as it felt very similar to previous games in the series and didn't really expand beyond them much IMO in terms of gameplay experience. But it definitely is up there for things like best production values, graphics, use of sound, musical score, tech and even atmosphere. The story and (lack of refreshing) gameplay are what hold it back from GOTY IMO.

As for Bayonetta, surprisingly I haven't played any more than the demo so I can't comment. I did like what I played though.

At least Darksiders is getting recognition ^_^

Do you really think God of War fans wanted a game that is very different from the one they played and loved on PS2 in 2007 ? But there were certain tweaks in gameplay that made it much better than God of War II and its sad that most people simply ignore them and go "Lol lololol God of War 2 HD"....

I did feel that the story was a bit lacking....but idk why, I liked what happened in the end....

And the term GOTY....hmmm....that also depends on each person's opinion. I'm not willing to accept that RDR is GOTY just because the VGAs say it is. God of War III will always be GOTY in my heart.

And it appears that your's is Darksiders

But theres one thing we can all agree on I guess...with Bayo, Darksiders, Dante's Infernofwar (Don't ban me for that but its true), God of War III and Castlevania Lords of Shadow, it was a great year for hack 'n slash games.
