Perhaps the gaming market is just becoming more like the rest of the electronics market. Every other product has their high and low end market price products. If the gaming market is to keep expanding I think it's a good thing to have different consoles aimed at different people. The same way you can buy some dirt cheap stereo speakers or you can indulge with some uber expensive bose 7.1 surround system. Different things keep different people happy.
I think Sony should keep pushing for the high end. I like the high end. I think they should change their marketing slogans.
