1 of global warming's main tenets:

weather will be displaced, concentrating effect into smaller and smaller areas.

ie: record breaking snowfalls, rain falls, tornados, tsunamis, heat waves. 

So now, instead of say, a rain cloud dumping 2 inches of rainfall over an entire state, it will drop 8 inches in one city and leave the rest of the state dry.

Nobody promised you anything. You were presented with facts that you misinterpreted.
