With they way humanity is now it just won't happen, there's just to much variety, and not enough danger, for something like that to happen (not to mention that mankind will probably destroy itself sometime in the next 200 years).
The only way for evolution to continue working is if someone who can live forever is born, and actually gets to live long enough to have many offspring etc etc...

Well, small changes occur over time, but a leap between spiecies is something that takes a very long time.
