Ok firstly, anyone who releases a download only gaming device will lose, the internet is still pretty poor in many places around the world, and retail are not exactly going to want to sell a console and make a £10 profit on it.

Secondly, I really think Nintendo might be selling better than the other consoles, but has to catch up alot with MS and Sony... Nintendos online experience is quite poor and so is their interface to that (friends codes are also pretty bad).

I question how many of those who own a wii will go out and buy a Wii HD. I would say there is a large percentage of people who are quite happy with Wii Fit and a few titles and wont probably upgrade. While there is always the core. Nintendo do have the benefit of money, so that is in their favour.

I really think MS and Sony will improve their consoles but they wont drastically improve them that it will cost an arm and a leg to sell. Maybe $499 starting price. I also think that the Wii HD wont be that big a jump over Xbox/PS3, this doesnt seem to be something that Nintendo does, they improve their own specs, but dont really worry about the competitor specs. The other big difference is that developers have found the best ways of getting the best out of the HD twins, while it will take a few years to do the same with any new Wii HD device.

I say no new hardware until end of 2012 at the earliest, and MS and Sony 2013.

Anyway thats my opinion, but its still all very interesting. :)
