Sony is doing this with some of their last gen games.  Why not Microsoft?

Well the Sony games aren't remakes. They are ports.

TMNT Reshelled for example was a remake. Conker on the Xbox was a remake.

A game like Sonic Adventure on PSN and Live is a port. That's the equivalent of these PS2 games ported to PS3.
