But don't you find the lack of Microsoft games for 2011 odd? I'm sure they have something to announce and now would be a perfect time otherwise it goes all the way to GDC. |
Not really no. I think Microsoft will focus more on Kinect titles (which might show up tonight, but others in this thread are pretty much saying that the audience is anti-Kinect) than non-Kinect titles in the forseeable future. This year was their last big year of non-Kinect titles imo. Of course, there's still Forza 4, Gears 3, and Kingdoms (whenever that releases) and Microsoft will rely on third parties to keep non-Kinect titles flowing, which they will.
I think if Microsoft had something, we would've heard from it by now. We knew everything coming out in 2010, outside of the Kinect titles, at this same point last year. Microsoft haven't been mildly surprising since they announced Halo: Reach and Crackdown 2 at E3 2009. If you look at their E3 shows the past couple of years, you're lucky to see maybe three multiplat games (one of which is always Call of Duty), and the rest of the show is dominated by Microsoft published and third party exclusives. If something were to be announced, it'd be far more likely to be announced there than here.
