The Uncharted frachise got HUGE, to the point where it rivals God of War's succcess. That's why my predictions are so high:

EMEAA: 600k

'mericas: 800k

Japan: 65k? (dunno how popular Uncharted is in Japan)

WW first week: 1.7 million.

Lifetime: 5.3 million (Uncharted is at 4 million now. I could realistically see it selling that high through the success of the previous titles. Heck, it could be even higher, but I think the first talks over the PS4 will stop it from selling much more.)

everyone needs to remember something here. 

This Generation isnt over.. its not even close... at all

Sony PS1 lasted 5 years then PS2 comes out.. PS1 manages to live on for 10 years and then died. PS2 lived for 6 years then the PS3 came out, still the PS2 is doing well and could last 11 year. 

NOW the PS3 has a 10 year plan.. 10 years, not 5 then PS4, 10 Years of PS3 as Sonys Home system. PS4 talk may be about but its not happening. in 2015 PS4 talk will begin and then 2016 it may come out. 

 

The PS3 is still expensive to develop for

SONY have only just started making money on it. they still have 4bil to make back yet.

The full power of the PS3 sill has not been seen.

WHY WHY WHY would people think a PS4 is close. 

 

If Kinect takes off then Microsoft has there new system for 5 years and can keep the 360 strong under Kinect. 

Sony put alot of money into the PS3 LONG TERM. the PS4 is NOT comeing in 2012/13 

 

sorry this seems like an attack on you i have just seen alot of people talk about the PS4 on here recently reffering it to 2012ish lol

Don't worry, I not offened. In fact, I like a good discussion. :)

The PS2 is the most successful console to date and the PS3 will never be able to come even close to the success of it. It had the best exclusive lineup including GTA, Tomb Raider,  Final Fantasy and pretty much every franchise that is now multiplatform. That's why it sold so well. Neither 360 nor PS3 have such a leadership. Not even the Wii has that. That's why it lasted 10 years and is still selling.

Sony said they have a 10 year plan, but that's just PR BS. No way Sony will be 2 years behind when the Xbox 720 or Wii 2 when will be released. I think Wii's successor will be released late 2011 or early 2012 And Xbox 720 will shortly after that, IMO. Kinect is a success, no doubt, but I can't see it selling further at this speed, so the life of the 360 won't be much extended. And with that in line, Sony will no doubt release the PS4 no later than 1 year behind the Xbox 720, else it would be 2006 all over again.

We will see the first pictures/facts of the PS4 in late 2012 at the latest, if not earlier.

I think Christmas 2012/ early 2013 is not bad for the PS4. The PS3 would have lasted 6-7 by then. :D

hmmm yeh i guess it is PR bully, but Sony will make a really powerful machine so say everything that the PS3 has in x2. so it will cost double the price sooo lets say the PS3 currently costs $230 to make, thats $460 with a price tag of $500... ps3 all over again. IF by 2012 sony can get the costs to make a PS3 down too $100 then the PS4 will fly of the shelf at a start prince of $300. mind you the PS3 is 32x PS2's... if sony make the PS4 32x the PS3 i will be shocked and poor! lol

i just cant believe the generation is coming into its last years :( its gone sooo quick. oh and even though Naughty Dog never uses the same franchise over more then 1 gen. it would REALLY help the PS4 with Uncharted 4 in the launch lol

and omg SSX is only just coming to this gen (except that wii game)... im so sad lol
