No it wouldn't.
Game's won't use any more memory than they were designed for.
More memory doesn't make a PC faster, it just makes it so there is allot less disk-swapping.

However if you have 2gb of ram and you are only using at-most 1.5gb, adding another 2gb doesn't suddenly make your computer any more faster, it just allows the computer to run more things at once, or more memory hungry applications, the old Applications won't see any benefit at all unless they were hitting a memory barrier.

A lot of older titles suffer from massive memory leaks which could benefit from more ram as they would have more ram to absorb.


If it's a memory leak, then that still won't solve the problem.
It would just take a little longer for the titles to hit the memory barrier, my last point still stands, because once they hit the "expanded" memory barrier it will suffer the exact same issues.
Only patches will solve that issue.
