Playstation 4 is NOT coming any time soon.

Today i have seen alot of talk weirdly about the PS4 in reference to Uncharted 3. People are saying things like' may hurt U3 sales' OR 'no uncharted 4 because PS4 will be out soon after U3' 

Can we all just remember a few things. 

The PS3 is Expensive to make. it has a LONGGG way to go before it cost a decent amount and SONY can make a good profit on the hardware. 

Its still very Expensive to create a Game for the PS3. 

SONY wants to make back as much as they can of this 4 billion debt. 

Sony said this has a 10 year plan. thats not 5 years then 5 years under the PS4. thats 10 years of PS3 being Sonys priority. 

We still have yet to see the true Power of the PS3

when people speak about the next gen they need to realise that Sony is stuck with the PS3 for years to come. 

IF sony was to release a new system in 2012/13 the PS3 will be hitting a peak with alot of users at an affordable price. smaller game developers will actually be able to fund a decent looking game. BUT sony will still have a lot of debt left.

WHY would sony release another system that will cost a bomb to make and will cost us around $800 to buy when they know we wont. There will be no games for the PS4 as people wont be able to fund making them. 

The xbox is doing very well with Kinect and will bring in ALOT of gamers who wouldnt have even brought an Xbox before. (the Mum who uses the wii) so MS will also not want to ruin that. 

Nintendo im not sure about. they could release a Wii 2 at any moment as it was always cheap to make the Wii and was a hit fast!

Wii 2.0 - 2012/13

Xbox 3 - 2013/14

PS4 - 2015-17

 

Sony took the risk with the PS3 so it would last a long time. we all know this. Its lifetime is not 5 or 6 years. its 10 in as the main and maybe live for 5 year under the PS4.

What are you guys thinking? when do you think the Wii 2. Xbox 3 and PS4 will come out?

No company can afford to launch a next gen console more than 1 year after the other... but if Wii stay with health sales, Kinect and Move keep momentum... we wil have anoucement of next gen in 2012 and launch in 2014... with PS3 still selling after this for more 2~5 years, they can have a 10 year plan...

Not necessarly means they will take 10 years before launching a new one.
