Was the DC MUCH more powerful than other consoles? (which I expect the PS4 to be)
And even if it was, did Sega have the 1st party like Sony does to show off that power?
I think Sony will come out of the gate with Blockbuster exclusives using their First Party.
Either way, Sony themselves said they would be the last to the market.
In terms of "beating" others. It's going to be a bit more complex than that. I don't think Sony will compare the PS4 too nextbox and Wii2. Did MS care that the PS2 had over 100mil consoles sold and they only had around 10mil. No, because they are on different time frames.
That's a little far fetched considering the 360 and PS2 were in different gens. However I do think that the PS4's launch will be so great that it'll make the 720 seem 1/2 gen weaker. and with the first party to get the games going, 3rd party will eventually jump on board to lead design on PS4 instead of 720. (like devs did with 360 and PS2). Then nearly all games will look and play better on the PS4. and well... PS4 will be in a good position.
