The $4000 you spent on your PC is more than I've spent on gaming in general for the entire generation, and I own over five dozen games spread across five platforms.

You can have the exact same experience with a ~$500 PC and it helps for general use too. People spend far too much on gaming PCs; it's a waste.

Tri-core CPU $80
5770 $135
Motherboard $60
RAM $45
Case/PSU $50
640GB HDD $45
DVD drive $20

Windows license, whatever you can get that for (transfer off old PC, get through school/college/work, otherwise $100

= $435/535

Oh I know there are more reasonable ways to build a PC. I was just stunned by that figure, as it is really and truly outrageous to me.

Yes i could easily buy a PC that could run everything i just said for half if not a quoter the price but i use it for more than games XD also i wanted a PC that i would not need to upgrade for at least 5 years and still be able to run any game.

For example my graphics card (which cost £900 on its own you can check if you want -.- should be only 600 in my opinion but oh well) can run crysis with very little probs at all.on that basis i should be able to run almost any game for a looooong time (though in 5 years time there will prob be a new crysis level game that i wont be able to run lol)

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3
