There are some games that can easily be played, but most not-so-much.  I remember trying the headache of trying to play KotoR and KotoR II last year and it was just a nightmare.  For grins and giggles I tried Sim City 2000 and while I eventually got it to work, it was a nightmare too.  So saying can't may be going too far, but it sure isn't a pleasant experience.

Once a PC game gets to that no longer supported state, it just plain sucks trying to get it to run.

If you go to your graphics card settings (which is super super easy to find) there is a long list of all games that are compatible ^.^ atleats on PC you have the option to play realy old games from like 15 years ago. none of the current gen consols can go back past last gen (though ps3 does 5th instead of 6th lol)
