Well if people want to spend many thousnds of dollars to have a child with their lover that is theirs genetically so be it. I can guarantee reproducing this experiment in humans is still a long ways away, even if mice are very genetically similar to humans as we are both mammals. This is also risky business because it seems very likely that there would be high levels of genetic disorders. Who knows? But this will not happen in humans for at least 20 years probably more.
