PSP2 Why will it fail?

Few things:

1. We don't know jack (*%& about it...the specs, what price it will be at, gaming line up...absolutely nada

2. All we have are bunch of rumors, that change every darn week nowadays, credibility is zero

3. PSP did just fine, PSP2 will do the same. Heck if Sony play their cards right they might even beat the 3DS in the long run? Impossible you say? Yeah like gaming giants don't fall in this industry, Ninty is no exception.

4. PSP2 doesn't need to beat 3DS, it doesn't NEED to beat Iphone or any of those devices. If it brings SOny profit over time, then that's a success. There are different types and levels of success, sadly not even so called gaming experts such as patchter understands this (then again the man did predict GT5 to be around Dec. 20th or so...so he does have credibility)

5. 2 nubs: THis is a given, i don't care what rumors say but Sony will not (if they do they are HUGE idiots) let this feature fall off the PSP2. If sony play their cards right, games like COD, KZ, Battlefield etc on the go, with trophy support will be a HUGE advantage the device will have. THis is where I think 3DS dropped the ball with, even if Ninty followed Sony PSP and added a analog input, without a second nub, FPS (which is one of THE most popular genre of this gen) will not work well

that's all I have to say as of now. It won't be dead on arrival or doomzed just because some may 'want' it to be...at least saying such things this early on when we have no idea what Sony has to offer is silly at best. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect Sony to have a line up to drive fans crazy with joy at the start either. They are not known for that but they are known for quality titles over time.

So let's wait and see, what the next PSP has to offer us gamers. Until then speculation on the features and what it will do to the device etc are pretty useless.

oh and btw this whole thread topic etc. are pretty one sided. It's almost as if people already KNOW it will be a failure and trying to find the 'reason' for it will be....it might be the exact opposite too
