I keep saying I'll go back eventually, I'm sure I will. Whether I can take out anymore bosses....that's a different story.

I'd just defeated the guy with a sword in his stomach, was gonna go on but didn't know what to do so I gave up.

Oh Adjudicator, so you were on World 4. That's the easiest world in terms of bosses and you can farm for easy souls and boost your SL quite nicely there. If you return to DS, you should spend some time there getting re-acquainted with the game and leveling up a bit.
