Even if it stopped the flow of information... (which it wouldn't) people would assume the WORST like way worse then the government is likely engaged in.

Furthermore it'd make the guy a martyr for his cause and if anything probably increase outside hacking attempts to get info.

The worst is: There are a LOT people thinking the same way, that he needs to be killed. It's OK for corrupt politicians, but a person to think this....Maybe.....People want to take the blue pill and remain in Matrix.
