Reminds me of WW2 when FDR had Churchill throw a US Journalist in jail for discovering their secret conversations and plans and trying to plan a way to bring the US into the war at a time when the US specifically wanted to stay out of the war, and FDR just won a campaign on "Keeping us out of the war".
Ironically, if we had Wikileaks then, the US would of never entered the war, or at the very least the Europeon Theatre. Though that probably would of been the "right" thing at the time. Afterall he did directly lie to the public.
