As much as I hate to admit it, I think your right.  MS was never 100% behind Alan Wake and the piss poor marketing campaign basically proves it.  Its a shame because AW was a very very good game, and games of that caliber don't come around very often.

With the way they are talking about Project Kingdoms, it may be a much different story.  They will probably want to butter up Crytek because its a new engine and they wan't the 360 to be the platform of choice.
