Motorstorm has 4 player splitscreen. It drops some detail and graphical effects but the fun is still there. That's the only racing game I can think of that offers 4 player splitscreen this gen.

The problem is most arcade racing games nowadays have a large single map with different routes. The game streams the data for your current location. So sadly no more instant restarts, and not enough memory to have multiple locations of the same world in memory. Same reason it won't work for gta, rdr etc.

And the wii has nothing to brag about, why is there no splitscreen option for nsmb or dkcr??

Dragon age: origins would have been awesome to play together.
