So no, I don't think they can be too big, at least not in their current state.

i had heard that that game's map was somewhere around 24000-29000 miles in area and would take the players two weeks of real time running just to cross the world. didnt believe it until i downloaded it for the anniversary thing on the elder scrolls website....holy shit...

Anywho, i dont think they can be to big. as long as there is stuff to do im cool with it.
