People care about Sports Champions sales because it shows healthy growth of adoption for Move as a platform to develop for. The future of Move is less certain than Kinect due to Sony's lesser push in marketing it. I'm not saying it's going anywhere, but Microsoft seems to be putting more into pushing Kinect on the market than Sony does Move. And yes, some people are cheering that Kinect Adventures is doing grand numbers. I'm for one am glad that both motion controls have found some traction in the market. Earlier kowenicki mentioned Kinect Adventures sales enthusiastically. |
Also, I do believe that every person who gets Kinect gets Kinect Adventures, so it's similar to the whole Wii Sports thing (although Japan doesn't have that game bundled with their Wiis, if I remember correctly). Sports Champions, on the other hand, is not sold with every copy of the Move, since there are so many SKUs on the market. Not every single person who has bought the Move has bought a copy of Sports Champions.
Still, the sales of both games are very impressive and I'm glad to see that motion gaming is having a good impact in the market. It'll definitely be interesting to see how things go from here.
