The fact that you don't think the above story would be rape without the violence is just outright sickening.

Unless the "victim" says "no" during the act (exception being if the victim is unconscious), then it is not rape.

"Rape" means being forced to have sex with someone. If you can stop whenever you want, and no sort of coercion (threats, intimidation, physical violence, mind altering drugs etc.) is used against you, then it is no rape.
