You know what is kinda sad.

When we start talking about US politics, nearly everyone on this board, regardless of nationality, knows the main players and has some opinion.

When we start talking about some other countries politics. Only the people from that country or maybe its direct neighbors know.

Actually, the US visitors, like me, only know our politics.

Anyway, who for wha??? :)

It's like when Britney Spears' sister gets pregnant everybody knows what is going on, but when your sister gets pregnant only her friends and faimly (and certainly not Britney Spears) knows about it. Also I think you overstate foreigners' knowledge of US politics. "Knowing" nothing more than Bush = Hitler is hardly being knowledgeable.

Anyways, I have no idea who this guy is but he can't be much worse than Brown, Cameron or whatever nut is in charge of the LDP. If he supports fossil fuel, or especially nuclear, power he'd have my vote if I were British. Given the green obsession of the main parties Britain's eletricity output will soon match 1st world prices and 3rd world reliabilty. Then again with the EU in charge now it's not like non-French national leaders have any real control in their countries anyways.

Congratulations, your understanding of the way the EU works is about as good as Jeremy Clarkson's.

P.S. Despite my comments, I think Clarkson is fine as long as he sticks to subjects that he knows, namely: Cars, World War 2 and stadium rock.
