War would be the best thing for the US economy right now. Getting all the factories back up and running for war production would eliminate unemployment and get the economy back on track like it did after the depression.

Also I highly doubt China will come to North Korea's aid if there's a Korean War II. I highly doubt China wants a war with the United States. They know they'd get crushed. I know China has a ton of people but most of them are untrained and uneducated so they really wouldn't be much of a military I don't think aside from sheer numbers of people.

War fought by other countries like WW2 - yes. War that involve US Army heavily in risky land operations (not to mention politicans will have problems to justify such war) - bold "no", you don't really need to kill that many Americans to heat up political conflicts inside country to the degree that it will have serious consequences and backlash, e.g. Vietnam War.

USA did a lot more than you think in WWII (in Europe), plus they took out Japan by themselves. I know Russia (Soviet Union) did the most in Europe but USA did their part as well.

Also I don't really know why people say the US not helping in WWII makes them less of a country or whatever. How was it in any way their war to fight? They said right from the beginning they wouldn't get involved in a war in Europe. It wasn't until Japan attacked them that it became their war to fight.

And USA could easily win a war against China, especially if they were allowed to use the full extent of their resources. By that I mean things like carpet bombings of highly populated cities in China like Shanghai and Beijing.
